We don't need you.

Were you born to to a world where you aren't needed, where your life has no purpose?
Yeah?  Well how does this sound?

You were put here to try not to be who you are.
You ought to give up even trying to know who you are.
Your greatest gift to the world is to be less than whole.
Why don’t you just tone it down, already.  We don’t need you.
Cut off your personality because you are really just too over the top
Your real lesson is to get duller, shrink smaller, be quieter, and to do less.
Obviously the world is doing just fine without your unique perspective,
and your wisdom would just lie around like unused extras that nobody needs.
Look around you!  There’s too much authenticity already!  Too much wonder!  Too much color!
We’re overrun on fun, please don’t add any of that, either.
Oh, and all the answers, all the unique ways of seeing and speaking and putting those answers into action are already being done.  Everybody is doing great, actually, so your voice just adds to the noise.
There’s enough world peace, way too much joy, people can’t get any healthier, no one needs help right now. There is no more dirty laundry, no more pain, nothing more to be accomplished or discovered or appreciated.  We’ve got it all.
So, can you please not contribute, not be yourself, not laugh so freely?
Would you just stop loving so deeply, getting so blissful, investigating the Mystery, being so fully alive?

Well?  Hmmm?
I didn't think so.
